Our favorite thing here was the staff and relaxed vibe. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the restaurant where they have nice places to chill. There’s a free yoga class in the morning and they also have options to get a massage. Thanks again to the super friendly staff, they really made the stay.
- if you’re a westerner, don’t expect much from the pool. There’s no chairs either. - there’s not much to do around the area, so come here to relax not to be active - we stayed in the more budget rooms the first night but the cottages are really worth the extra money. So much more facilities and larger. There were a lot of big spiders in the more budget rooms we had, and none in the cottage. Also no mosquitos.

I had an amazing short trip to Shiv Shakti! It was a breath of fresh air from the noise/dust/intensity of Tapovan. It was so nice being in nature and I felt so at peace. The pool is lovely and its close to multiple waterfalls. Sandy & Ram were the best hosts, they truly care about making it a great experience for guests! Thank you guys for everything <3

Shiv Shakti is in a beautiful, peaceful location in the mountains near a waterfall and trekking routes. The room was bright and spacious and there was a nice communal space to sit in. The staff were all friendly and very relaxed. They kindly collected us from Tapovan and dropped us back when we checked out.

Gorgeous quiet location with beautiful morning yoga. Extremely friendly and sweet staff. It is not very accessible by car (but the property will help you with your luggage!), so only stay if you don't mind a beautiful walk (with waterfalls) to get to the main part of Rishikesh.

I recently had the pleasure of staying hear and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel welcome and at home. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. I particularly loved the food, the fountain, the yoga and the stunning view, The location is perfect, quiet and peaceful but close to the main road. I enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great spots to eat and relax. If you’re looking for a place to stay that offers both comfort and charm, the place is the ideal choice. I can't wait to return!

The owner is a simple spiritual person. You meet people from various nationalities and there is a good vibe to the place. Food is very reasonably priced and nutritious. We had a great time overall
driving uphill to the resort on the narrow road was an adventure but I know the reason why it is built on top of the hill... once we parked the car near the top, we did all the walking up and down till the market downstream. That was a good hike for me but not sure if everyone would like this.

Shiv Shakti is a unique and peaceful location outside the hustle and bustle of Tapovan/ Rishikesh. The staff are all very helpful and the home cooked vegetarian food really good. The daily yoga practice was a great way to start the day and the constant sound of running water in the nearby waterfalls very relaxing.

Shiv Shakti is a beautiful place. It is a little off road, which for us is great as it meant a quieter space. Ram and his family were so welcoming and helpful throughout the stay. The rooms are clean and comfy, the garden and the hang out space are peaceful. We particularly enjoyed the morning yoga too. This is a great place if you like nature, and quiet mornings to meditate and watch the sunlight slowly fill the valley.

We had an great time at Shiv Shakti. The neigbouring waterfull (just walk 5 mins up) is insanely perfect. The athmosphere was super chill, with beautifull souls being attracted to this place.

All the staff were always super friendly and in a good mood and the food is deliciouse. The accommodation is close to a waterfall and in the middle of nature. Perfect for a break.

It’s the perfect retreat if you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for relaxation, meditation, or simply enjoying nature. The cottages are simple, cozy, and well-maintained. The rooms are clean, with basic amenities such as comfortable bedding, Wi-Fi, and a private bathroom. It would be a nice touch to have basic amenities like soap provided in the bathroom.

I had the most beautiful few days. The staff is one of the friendliest people I've met and the food was the best on my 5 weeks trip to India. This area is a paradise for a nature- and peace lover with amazing waterfall spots and jungle hiking trails near. The room was spacious with big windows and it was beautifully decorated. Only thing I would suggest is to clean the rooms a bit better, even though they were still not bad. The rooms are so pretty, that they deserve to be shiny. ✨

We had a wonderful stay at Shiv Shakti! The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, with Ram making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location is peaceful and scenic, with beautiful surroundings and waterfalls nearby that were perfect for a refreshing dip. The room was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The on-site restaurant offered delicious food, and we especially enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The added bonus of having access to a gym and a yoga space was great. Highly recommend!

This is such a special place! It’s located 2 km up the hill from town in a quiet little oasis. The staff is absolutely wonderful! I stayed for four nights before beginning a retreat and was greeted each day with so many smiles and so much kindness. The cooks in the cafe are really good (and nice too!) and the other guests who tend to find themselves here made it special too. I came in February, so we had some cold and rainy days and nights. It is normal in Rishikesh for there to be no heat, so that did take some getting used to. They did give me a small heater that helped a lot in my room at night. However, my discomfort wasn’t about anything staff did or didn’t do; it was just a matter of me getting used to the way things are in this part of the world. There are some great spa services and opportunities for yoga that guests can enjoy too. I spent my time meditating, reading, and just enjoying life off-line in a beautiful spot! Highly recommended!

I had a great stay at Shiv Shakti Yogpeeth. It is really nicely located up the hill from Tapovan. Surrounded by green, birds sing, the sounfs of river and waterfall rest and joy come by itself. It is also a very nice spot, if you like hiking. The other day I did the Kunjapuri temple trail and it was strenuous but beautiful. The hosts as well as the people I met were all nice. The food is fresh and tasty and facilities are clean. Enjoy :)

Location is everything here. High over Rishikesh settled in a lush forest with an amazing rocky stream in front. The cottages are perfectly in harmony with nature and the wonderful owners Ram and Dhiksha with their team make you think twice wether you go out to explore the many amazing things around Rishikesh,..... or maybe just chill in this wonderful oasis!
If you plan to arrive without the owners help, then be prepared for a rocky uphill battle ....

The first impression of the property was great.It's location is in the heart of the mountains and if you are into trekking and have minimum luggage then u can also trek to the place or call the owner to book a taxi for you. On the side of the hostel you can find a gorgeous tributary of river Gange with many waterfalls, there you can also go for canyoning. The property also has a swimming pool facility, yoga hall and space for exercise. During my stay they also hosted a wonderful musician on the weekend who made the evening magical. The place is absolutely superb, the staff were most friendly, helpful, full of local knowledge and Ram bhai (the owner) is very polite, jolly and always ready to go the extra mile for the guests. The facilities were clean, the dorm was spacious, there were lockers for the backpacks and also free wireless internet in the lounge. Food was also great and a real bonus is banana pancake with honey, which I loved very much and also recommend. Some of my orders were a little late and I have to repeat them again but my stay was so comfortable and relaxing that I won't even complain about this. The Indian cuisine that they served was also very delicious. Overall the quality of food I found was organic and as good as home. Overall I had a lovely, relaxing time at this place. I met new people and made some good friends. It was everything I needed and wanted from my vacations, clean and homely environment, close to nature and away from the irritating traffic of Rishikesh. The staff members treated me very well and were very pleasant. I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.

Ram is such a friendly and helpful host who takes care of everything. As of the food, it is very tasteful and of high hygiene standards. I am only looking forward to return to Shiv Shakti:)

Network connectivity was poor. If one wants to go down to market has to rely on taxis which maynot be available and one need to be flexible as oer availability. These are beyond management's control hence not fault of management.

Stunning views Great value for money, extreamly friendly and helpful hosts, little waterfulls everywhere, pool was just being cleaned as we were leaving and will be loverly with great views, really good organic fresh food!!!! The host Arranged an early morning sunrise trip up the mountain from here for us at extra cost but was 100% worth it!! Can take part in yoga sessions and upstairs gym, sometimes has life music, nice relaxed hostel environment would highly recommend 🙌
